Stay away from this place for service. They had my car for nine days. Will never return a call to update you because when you call they always give you an answering machine then when i said i didn’t want an answering machine they hung up on me. Everytime i finally got a person after arguing about the answering machine and no return calls they lied and said it would be done tomorrow. this happened three days in a row. they had my car for five days and did not even look at it till i started xxxxxxxx that i needed my car back because i used it for my business. they told me they had the part so that wasn’t the issue. The last day i was told the car would be done by four so i just showed up the car wasn’t done and i told them i would sit in the waiting room till it was done. very aggravating and so unprofessional They just lied everyday. so if you want your car fixed in a timely fashion or want to talk to someone this is not the place for you. i will never go back there and i wanted to trade my car in there but i will be going somewhere else Someone needs to teach them about customer service
Where do I begin, my husband and I were in the market for a Santa Cruz. We looked at the one he wanted, did the usual dance about price with our sales person Mike. we said we had to think about it for a few days and would reach out. Mike reached out first about two days later. We agreed to come back in. Firstly, even though my husband produced his I.D as an employee of N.Y.P.D and is a first responder they refused to give him the discount. Even after we told them we were there for several weeks as my husband recovered from having his 911 cancer surgery. They claim it was a Hyundai rule and we did not fit qualifications. I called Hyundai and they said it should have been honored. We agreed to purchase and was offered an additional free tank of gas, which they did honor. We were told the plates would be in 7-10 days. Two weeks later my husband says where are my plates?I call Mike he says they are not in yet, but two hours later I get a text saying dealership just sent them out to us. Another two days later the envelope comes, registration but no plates. I call Mike he says he doesn't know but will look into it. It should be new plates as we had not trade in. Mike calls back saying the plates on my Mazda which I drove into dealership had to go on Santa Cruz. I said hold up that's my car which we did not give you as a trade in. I just reregistered my car paid for it and put the new tag on this week. Im not doing that. He proceeds to try and blame me telling me I called the insurance company. I said no you called and further more the insurance has nothing to do with the screw up the registration. He just kept saying but you did this and you did that. I never spoke with anyone he did it all. He wanted me to take my plates off my care give them to my husband for the Santa cruz and have no plates. I said absolutely not I'm not paying to register my car with new plates. My husband got involved at this point. Not only did I realize that meantI had been driving around not knowing with illegal plates but he kept putting the blame back onto me. He called me husband told him they were registering my car with new plates take mine off put on the Santa Cruz and mine would be arriving. Oh and your wife doesn't have to pay. well, why should I pay I had just paid to registewr my car and my husbands new car. I kept asking how did you even get my information for my Mazda to make this screw up. I than remembered my car was in the front parking lot as we had driven in with it. He did apologized to my husband. But, not after infuriating me by repeating but you did this and you did that several time. for gods sake own it. The dealership gave do retribution for the big screw up and inconvenience of having to take everything off my Mazda and transfer to my husbands Santa Cruz, put all the new registration plates on my car, change the easy passes with all the corresponding license plates. Not to mention I was driving around illegally note knowing and giving us excuses as to why they could not honor my husbands first responder discount. My opinion is the dealership was trying to take care of too many customers at once instead of paying attention to the customer they were dealing with and shortcuts and mistakes were made. Big mistakes!
I hate giving one star. The service manager never informed me that I would be needing new tires soon whenever I had maintenance work done. Not a word and when my tire was losing air I found out it was ready to blow out (I have the picture). I and my family could of been killed driving around on these tires. Hyundai Sonata, Spoke with the department head and was told that since he had no idea what was said to me, he couldn't do anything. Inexcusable and my next care will not be a Hyundai.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This dealership is shameful. In May 2021, my husband and I bought a used 2018 Kona from Causeway. Within days, it became obvious that there was a problem with the Blind Spot Collision Warning sensor because there was a warning light on the dashboard, and the indicator light on the side-view mirror wasn't working. So I called the salesman, Edgar, and told him this. He said that I could have it looked at when I bring it in for my oil change. So when I scheduled the oil change (waiting a month for that appointment) I mentioned to the service writer that there was a problem with BCW system, and she said that the tech will take a look at it when it comes in. When I brought the car in, I mentioned it to the service writer, and I was assured that they'd check it out. When the car was done, they told me that it was fine, that it just needed to be reset. Within days, again, it was malfunctioning, and the warning light was on again. I called again, and they said no big deal, that they'd have a look at it at the next oil change. I had a nail in my tire in the meantime, and I brought it in to have the tire replaced, and asked them to look at it then. No problem, they said, they just needed to reset it again. Again, within days, the warning light was on again, and when I scheduled the next oil change, I mentioned it AGAIN. Kathie told me that she spoke to Warren, and Warren said that it might need a new sensor, a part that runs about $1900. So my husband brought the car in for the oil change, and said that it needed to be fixed, it's a safety hazard, and it's been going on for awhile. They told him that they couldn't fix it, and to bring it in the following week. This past Monday, March 28th, he dropped it off, and they had it all day Tuesday. They called me on Tuesday and said that they noticed that the sensor in the bumper was damaged, that the car must've taken a tap to the bumper, resulting in the sensor being damaged. And that I *SHOULD'VE NOTIFIED THEM SOONER.* They had no record of the times I'd mentioned it previously, nor did the salesman recall the phone call days after the purchase, (conveniently so) and the only record they had of me mentioning this was the MOST RECENT APPOINTMENT. Also, very convenient. So essentially, they were calling me a liar without calling me a liar, and had this situation been dealt with any urgency from the get-go, this would've never gotten this far. Because frankly, I was unaware that the sensor was in the bumper. Reasonably, I thought it was in the side-view mirror. But since it's in a vulnerable place like the bumper, I am now responsible for the replacement of this sensor because they claim they have no record of my call to the salesman, or prior requests to repair it. The sales manager, Fred, made me an offer to pay them "ONLY" $500 of the cost of the sensor. I feel I shouldn't have to pay a dime, yet they claim there's no record of me reporting this problem prior to last week. Had I realized that they were going to pull this stunt, I would've brought the car back straightaway, dropped the keys on Edgar's desk, and told him I'd be back for it when they fix it on THEIR DIME. This isn't the first time I was treated shabbily at Causeway. But I can promise, it WILL be the last. There are plenty of other dealers who stand behind the vehicles they sell, whether new or used, and they don't fudge paperwork to make the customer look like a liar. This dealership doesn't seem to value their reputation. To add insult to injury, they canceled our extended warranty, without notification, without authorization, and it was already PAID FOR. Looks to me like this dealership is trying filthy tactics to discourage me from finding out the truth about this car. Would you buy a car from a dealership that uses these tactics? It's abundantly clear that this car was damaged when I bought it, and they played games until enough time passed when they could say that it was on me. That I should pay them a 'share' of the costs to repair the car, when I was NOT responsible for the damage. What dealer does this to their customers? What salesperson can look in the mirror, knowing that they're abusing the trust of people who are making the second costliest purchase after a house? Freddy Bauta, I hope when you read this, that you reconsider the tactics that you are using because this is UNFAIR, and this is UNDERHANDED. Fred was supposed to call me back with a deal on a new car today when I told him that my husband was looking at the Santa Cruzes. He said he'd call me back with a deal on a new Kona. He had to know there was NO WAY he could've sold me a new car with the payments I have now. So instead, he canceled my service contract that I ALREADY PAID FOR! How does he sleep at night? How does ANYBODY trust this dealership to not SWINDLE them?
I made an appointment to test drive a Santa Cruz. When I arrived, I was told the only Santa Cruz available was a pre-owned one, and that it was impossible to get the model I was looking for (Limited, blue stone, leather seats). The salesperson (never gave me his name) also was rude and argumentative with my husband. When I said I still wanted to test drive the Santa Cruz, I was handed the keys and the dealer plate, and off I went on a test drive. No one asked my name or looked at my license, no dealer went with me. No one asked for my opinion on the vehicle when I returned, although another salesperson suggested I look at a Ford Maverick. Basically, the dealership missed out on a cash sale because of a rude and unhelpful salesperson.
I get free tire rotation & oil change with my car. I only came to this dealership because my regular place was booked solid for 2 months. I’ve never had an issue with my car until it was serviced here. I don’t know if they didn’t change the oil at all or drained and never replaced it, but my oil warning light came on and after checking the level, it was bone dry. I had to go to the local auto parts store to add 4 quarts. No leaks.... Fast forward a month later and I have a flat tire... beyond flat. One tire was so worn, wire from the tire wires were showing. I could have been killed. This dealership has always had a shady reputation. I hoped because of the remodel and move things would be different. Stay far, far away from this dealership!!!

They make empty promises. They promised a car from another dealership, we put a deposit down and left happy...not as happy as we should have since I was given a price BY THEIR DEALERSHIP before we drove 40 minutes to the dealership and then were told that they couldn't do that because all of the rebates were stacked and nobody could ever get that price...so why email me saying it was an "exclusive offer" for me? Anyway, days came and went. Bottom line- we didn't get the car as promised, our deposit wasn't refunded until a week later after I contacted the manager, who was very helpful. During chat I asked for a managers email and was given A FAKE EMAIL that came back to me BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A REAL EMAIL ADDRESS! I emailed another manager about how unacceptable things were and about our negative experience and he never even wrote back. Terrible.
Called them on Thursday because I went to start the car Wednesday and the battery was dead on my 2017 Sonata. And I purchased a new battery on Wednesday and Thursday morning the car was dead again. When I called I could not get anyone to explain my situation and get an appointment. Called back and the receptionist said they were very busy and transferred me to their voicemail. Left them a voicemail and they NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. I will never purchase a car from them again.
Great place to buy a car. Sales staff and manager were great. No pressure and overall nice guys. Would recommend this dealer to EVERYONE. Awesome
First of all don’t believe the rating. They pay people to give stellar ratings. Secondly don’t buy a vehicle from them. I put down thousands in a down payment on a new lease in February. I put on my air conditioning yesterday for the first time. It didn’t work it was blowing hot air. I went to have it looked at and they told me that miraculously something flew through the front grill of my car and damage the compressor on the air-conditioning. The damage looked very bad however there was no marks of any sort on my front grill or hood. With the damage that bed I would have expected some nicks on the front of the car. So in short I have an $800 repair bill on a car that’s only three months old. Something smells very fishy to me. I wouldn’t let them do the work. I took it to somebody I trust. I wouldn’t buy a car from here again. Drive up to toms River and buy it from Lester Glenn!
I had such a great experience dealing with edgar mike k and miike business manager very professional excellent service what a joy just the best experience i have had in a dealership amazing thank you again for such a wonderful experience i literally drove past probably 5 hyundai dealerships to get to their location since im about 50 miles away but well worth the trip simply the best!
Words can't explain how they treated me here. I've spent the whole day trying to fix my car just for them to give me the runaround and leave my car. They also, closed early so I couldn't get my car.
This dealership will quote you a monthly price online/ through email to just get you into the dealership. They state they can give you the offer you are looking for, which is lower than any offer around, then when you get into the dealership the state that monthly offer didn’t include thousand of dollars in fees and taxes, which increases you price significantly. If something seems to good to be true, it probably is, including their price quotes. The person that quotes your price through email/phone does not even work in their dealership building. I walked in asking for her and was given a different sales person. That sales person had no idea what deal I had worked out with the representative on the phone because their only job is to get you into their dealership. Within 20 mins of being their I was told that the price quoted does not include any fees and taxes and no dealership could sell it for the price quoted. I then left and went to FREEHOLD HYUNDAI and bought the car for the exact price that FREEHOLD quoted me on the phone. Additionally the person I talked to on the phone was the person who I dealt with in the dealership!
everyone at the dealer sales floor was friendly and helpful, hopefully whenever we bring it back for service that department will meet our expectations also this is my 2nd santa fe I wasn't impressed with the 1st but so many other owners of Hyundai vehicles have assured me of the quality of the product WE SHALL SEE !!!
Charley was very eager and ready to help us select a new car. He was able to find us a car with the bells and whistles we wanted. He answered all our questions and concerns satisfactorily as well as professionally. We were very happy with the entire experience.
The staff and management were very professional and thorough. They went out of their way to respond to all our many questions and requests for test rides. Overall, an excellent experience.

He actively listened to my concerns and needs and found gave me several options and went through the pros and cons (even had me open and close the trunk to see if it was too cumbersome). He is detail-focused and really cared about finding the right fit versus selling the most expensive.

I was very pleased with the car buying experience. Everyone was friendly and professional and I do love my Tucson. I did not feel overly pressured and think I got a decent deal. Steve showed me all the features, answered all questions and was great to work with.
My experience with Hyundai started at the Nissan lot where I went to trade in my Altima. Initially the salesperson did not fully grasp what I was looking for in a car and showed me many vehicles which were not as well equipped as my trade in. While I am happy with what I bought I think there were some other cars on the collective lots which I might have liked better but was not shown. I really did not want to spend this much money and I have seen cheaper vehicles in subsequent visits which I know were there when I was purchasing.
Everyone was informative, professional, and courteous. I was offered to test drive the two different vehicles to see the difference between the turbo engine and the regular engine to see which I preferred between the two.
Everything was great. Steven was a great salesperson . Very friendly and could answer all our questions. We will differently go back to him. We have bought many a car from Causeway and have always been satisfied with their performance.
Excellent, would recommend this dealership to others. I used to deal with Lester Glenn, but they are now too far away. When they were in Manahawkin they were convenient. So now I will deal with Causeway.
